Dr. Ashok Chakravarthy Tholana, is a poet, writer and reviewer, hailing from Hyderabad City, Telangana State, INDIA. During his 30-year stint with poetry, Ashok’s poetry possesses the rare distinction of getting published in no less than 90 countries. He is conferred with several prestigious national and international awards, that include five doctorates and quite a lot of laurels, commendations, citations and titles for his poetry contribution in promoting Universal Peace, World Brotherhood, Environment Consciousness, Protection of Nature, Safeguarding Children’s and Human Rights etc.

A RIGHTEOUS WILL
The reflection of sun appears in water
But, does the sun really exist there?
The fetters of our hopes and illusions
Likewise appear to cloud us in delusions.
When life spins into a whirl of delusion
We aspire to wriggle out of the situation;
Like a fish falling prey to a fatal bait-hook
We should not fall prey to deceptive hooks.
Past imparts lessons to tread the right path
But desires force to deviate from that path,
Quest for transitory pleasures, deceive us,
Distracting us from the real and eternal bliss.
Caught betwixt choosing this way or that way?
Life experiences a jolt at this indecisive bay;
As darkness fades at the advent of sun rays,
Likewise, ‘righteous will’ leads us to a right way.
I WISH TO SPREAD ….
My voice whispers with a message of inspiration,
Aspires to spread words of love and compassion;
Surging with ripple after ripple of loving words,
I aspire to spread love and peace across the world.
I weep when a heart breaks, thirsting for love
I feel pain when nature gets wild, from above,
Inner self echoes with words of care and concern
I try to impart, morals and ethics for everyone.
I have no bias, be it any race, region or religion
I treat everyone with care and impartial vision;
I wish to dwell in peace, inhale rhyming breathe
I am poetry, yearn to propagate universal truth.
While pen thirsts to write ever-new golden words,
Thoughts aspire to produce ever-new pleasant words,
Eyes long to throw ever-new light of merciful looks,
I wish to spread peace, flowing like a serene brook.
