Prof. Ruzdija - Ruki Kocan was born on 20th December 1961 in Godocelj, Petnjica, Montenegro.
In 1988/89, he graduated from the Department of Literatures of the Peoples and Nationalities of Yugoslavia and Serbo-Croatian Language , the Faculty of Philosophy, the University of Sarajevo. He lived and worked in Bosnia and Herzegovina until the end of 1994 when he moved to Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In 2010, he obtained bachelor's degree in Modern and Natural Medicine. Today he works in the health system of the Netherlands, as the owner of the clinic. From his early ages he has been involved in literary creation.
Inspired by life and enchanted by the imagination - the "Wizard of words and verse", who by spiritual listening touches sublime beauty of nature, the emotions of love and the breath of all existence. By the magic of the Song – space inspiring, through the quest for new spiritual paths, with the 'Discoveries of the Universal Code of Light' - against stupidity, old age and death. As the gifted poet he creates, and prints with the original pen and ink inwardness: those unspeakable sounds and the fairy tale flashes of the "secret magic of life," - on the wings of cosmic vibration of endless love. The Teslian spirit, in the vertical of spirituality - that timeless poetics of whispers, the magic of the rhythm of silence and the calling of the souls of light waves.
In his poetic oeuvre, he has published over 1500 poems. He has been awarded many plaques, diplomas, gold medals and laudation. As the author, he is represented in a very impressive number of International collection of poems. He is a participant of the World Literary Academy of the World Championship 2019. He is also represented as an author in the Anthology “The world's best poets." At the 2020 European Poetry Championships, he was also awarded a Special Prize.
