 POEMS  BY  SHEMSETTIN  KUZECI

FOR KIRKUK

For the sake of Kirkuk desires are covered with blood
Neither flowers nor snows remain on the mountains
Neither pigeon dove nor nation lovers men remained
Chopping up went too far became unendurable

For the sake of Kirkuk my heart is devoted
Chains of my hand are twisted very tightly
Stars are pulled out from sky as mountains
My pink-green desire is gleamed in my eye

FREEDOM

I’ve got into trouble for a while, I saw thousands of pains
I became tired because of the unborn sun
My youth has passed pink desire has been drown
Even my daisy got pale being remorseful is useless
That’s enough stop my tear liberty time came
Flowers will bloom my vineyard becomes active
I got rid of darkness, I found my new world
I methe native country my dream became a reality

WHISPER

Mirrors
Have been tarnished
They don’t reflect
Thes un light
Once more
He can’t be patiebt
To every trouble…
In this bad condition
Love, to be loved
Seem luxury
Hearts all dark
An unsolved
Cavern
Dreams are
As coloured as
Flowers.

IN OUR CITY

In our city
Every trouble
Should be
Endured…
To think about
It’s remedy

Unbearable gallows
Should be thought
In our city
In our city

ALL OF US

We
Have to
Do
Lots of things
However
We
Did
Nothing

ADMISSION

I know
Happiness of my
Heart
Is the
Result
Of my love
Which
I have been
Feeling
For years.

LOVE

If you wish
Either make me cry
Or
Make native country smile
With my darling
In my native country
Kill me.
