Keeping Me Awake
I trust the essence of the perfume.
Your rose is my morning,
Your stars warm my eyes
And you become a rose, star, morning
And perfume.
I hold my heart in my hand,
The rainbow needs the sky.
I need you like life bleeds for its bonding.
The dark-eyed lord,
The creaking of the door at midnight,
And the melting of the candles
Keep me awake.
Floods and Festivities
The days have their goodbyes.
The floods are gone
With avalanches
In the sobbing souls.
This festival candle
Withstands the wind
With an aching bird's
Homecoming.
I speak without words
And feelings get hurt.
Humanity is a tough
Bargain to buy
For the upcoming festivals.
The roadside sale,
The loan on interest,
The taste buds fueled by
Neighborhood’s appetite
Do not serve a purpose.
A waking delight
Is in emptiness
Yet the bright sky
Has kites beneath
The haphazardly
Drifting clouds.
A strange homeless smile
Becomes the art
For the flood victims.
A tattered kite
Falls down slowly,
On the hungry and busy street.
