When Night Falls
When night falls, birds seek shelter ‘neath leaves
Asleep in soft-feathery dreams,
Awaken into morning song.
Other creatures sleep the day,
The ground shelters, cools from the burning light.
They dream of stars, shadows of moonlight.
They awaken to soft moon-light.
